About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Junior Section - November 2019

The session is now in full swing and the new boys in the section have settled well. Our youngest members have now started working towards the bronze badge, with our older boys also starting to complete their achievement awards with the aim of gaining their silver and gold badges.

As well as our regular Friday meetings, we had six boys who participated in the District Sports at Scotstoun in late September, with a special well done to Jamie Allan who won gold medals in both the 60m and 200m junior races.

Looking ahead, November sees our first uniformed organisations' service and parade of the session, held on Remembrance Sunday on November 10. This is an important event for Junior Section, and we'll also be hoping for good weather for the march past after the service.

Finally, our annual sledging trip with our Anchor Section will also be held in the coming weeks, with a visit planned to the indoor snow slope at Braehead.
