About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Junior Section - February 2019

Junior Section is now back in full swing and is looking forward to a calendar of competitions and events between now and Easter.

Prior to Christmas, Junior Section joined with Anchor Boys to enjoy a sledging trip on the indoor ski slope at Braehead and this was followed in December by another joint outing to the the Clyde Auditorium to see the pantomime, Cinderella.

In early December, four of our senior boys also joined eight members of Company Section and three staff to travel to Manchester to attend the English Premier League match between Manchester City and Bournemouth. Everyone in attendance had a great day which was helped by plenty of goals with a 3-1 win for the home team.

Our normal Friday night programme has also now resumed with boys participating in their usual badgework activities, mixed in with figure marching practise and various type of games. In terms of competitions, both the General & Bible Knowledge Quiz and Figure Marching events are taking place in the next few months and we will hopefully have some success to report on in the near future.
