About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Junior Section December 2018 / January 2019

It has been an busy period for Junior Section, with more events planned before we arrive at the Christmas holidays.

Since our last article, we have held our annual fancy dress party at which there was party games, food and a good selection of scary costumes.

Following this, we were delighted to see a good turnout for the Remembrance Sunday church service. Unfortunately the heavy rain led to the cancellation of the parade but we were pleased to share in such an important service with the congregation and thank everyone for their positive comments towards us.

In the near future, we’ll be enjoying a sledging trip with Anchor Boys to the indoor ski slope at Braehead. This outing follows our successful visits of the last few years and hopefully the leaders won’t have problems trying to keep our grip on the snow at the bottom of the slope as is so usually the case! And although not confirmed yet, it is also likely that we’ll be fitting in a trip to the pantomime before the year concludes.

Finally, on behalf of all boys and leaders at Junior Section, we would like to wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and an enjoyable New Year.
