About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Junior Section October 2016

jsfootball16Junior Section has resumed for another session, with 13 boys enrolled so far.

In recent weeks, the boys have been learning some simple marching as well as participating in a number of games as they get to know each other. We've also been enjoying some messier activities, making empire biscuits with jam and icing in plentiful supply. In the weeks ahead, the boys will be building on this and taking part in various other elements of badgework.

In mid-September, we took part in our first District event of the session, the five-a-side football at Scotstoun. We had two times entered, with our youngest team finishing sixth and our other team winning the competition with a 100% record, winning all seven of their matches. Congratulations to all the boys who took part.

We'll be hoping for more success at the next District event, the Sports, which is held on the track and field at Scotstoun in early October.

Places are still available in Junior Section and we would be delighted to provide further information to any boy in primary four to primary six. For more details please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
