Company Section - April 2019
Thanks go to everyone who attended the Service for Uniformed Organisations at the church on 17th.
We were delighted to see so many people in attendance, and particularly pleased that the weather stayed dry for the march past given that we didn’t get the chance last November.
The service was one of a number of events which have taken place as we approach the Easter Holidays.
At the end of February, boys finished third at the District Drill Competition hosted by the 1st Glasgow at Kelvingrove Parish Church, while early in March, boys competed at the District Tenpin Bowling Competition at Springfield Quay, with Cameron McArdle finishing third place in the senior age group.
That was followed the next week by the District Badminton Competition held at Scotstoun, and we rounded off the competition calendar last Monday with the District Sports held at again at Scotstoun, with boys competing in a range of track and field events.
With Easter falling later this year, boys will be off for the first three weeks in April, and when we return on Friday 26th April, the focus will be on preparations for our 114th Annual Inspection and Display.
That takes place in the large hall on Friday, 17th May beginning at 7pm. Everyone who attends will be made most welcome.
