About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Company Section October 2018

With the new session now well underway we have begun looking at what new activities we can add to our normal programme, both on Friday nights and at other times.

For example, we are currently organising a trip to see Manchester City play Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on December 1st, and we’re looking at other options for similar outings over the course of the session.

At the same time, we are still progressing with many of our normal activities, although the first District competition of the year, the five-a-side football at Scotstoun Leisure Centre, had to be postponed in September thanks to the high winds brought on by Storm Ali. It has now been rescheduled for the start of October.

The following week will see the District Sports take place at Scotstoun, with boys competing across a series of track and field events. For the first time, this year we are inviting company sections from across the whole of Glasgow to take part, so we’re hoping for a busy event.

Between now and Christmas we also have a number of other events taking place, and we have one eye on the first Church Parade of the session which this year will take place on Remembrance Sunday, 11th November.
