About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

With Easter now upon us we already find ourselves in the final weeks of the BB session, which means a busy time ahead mirroring the equally busy time we’ve had over the past month.

In February David Molloy finished third in the senior age group at the District Badminton Competition, with the District Table Tennis Competition taking place in late-March.

Senior boys also enjoyed the first ever District Bubble Football competition, where they played the game wearing large inflatable bubbles allowing them to barge into each other. At some points, a game of football even broke out amid the mayhem.

We would like to thank all those who attended the Service for Uniformed Organisations held at the Church on Palm Sunday.

With boys now just about to head off for the Easter Holidays, thoughts are turning towards our 111th Annual Inspection and Display. That means practising various items from Bugle Band to drill to gymnastics to opening and closing ceremonies, as well as looking forward to our prizegiving.

The Display takes place in the large hall on Friday, May 13th at 7.00pm, and everyone is warmly invited.
