Anchor Section - October 2019
Friday evenings, 6.30-7.30 pm and the small hall is a hive of activity. During the evening we have lots of fun with a variety of games, Bible stories, crafts, songs and quizzes.
So far this session we have had topics that covered our summer holidays, Roald Dahl Day and “Talking like a Pirate.” This year Roald Dahl Day was conveniently on a Friday. We marked what would have been his 102nd birthday with a small party. We also talked about his amazing books with lots of tales of adventure. Some are small and some much longer. We likened this to the collection of exciting books of varying length in the Bible.
The boys made crocodiles to remind them of his entertaining book called “The Enormous Crocodile.”
Later in the year we will have a fancy dress party and our Christmas celebrations include a party and a visit to the pantomime.
Any boy in Primary 1,2 or 3 is very welcome to join us. There is more information about our Boys’ Brigade company on our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
