About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Anchor Section September 2018

Enrolment for the 2018/2019 session of Anchor Boys will take place in the small hall of the Naseby Park Sanctuary at 6.30 pm on Friday 31st August There will be craft activities for the boys whilst the adults fill in the forms. As such, it is a shorter evening than normal.

Each week we have a fun filled hour with activities including games, Bible Stories and arts and crafts. We also have special activities including parties, competitions and outings. Last year we went sledging, had a Lego morning, went to the pantomime and had a great day at Blair Drummond Safari Park. We have also kept up our contact with our friend Michael Kerins who is a prize winning story teller and children's author. He is always a very popular visitor to the Anchor Boy section.

Any boy in Primary 1, 2 or 3 is most welcome to come and join us. We said goodbye to several of the boys at the end of the last session when they were promoted to the Junior Section and have plenty of spaces. Our first full week back will be on 7th September from 6.30 pm until 7.30 pm.
