About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Anchor Boys April 2018

March has been the last full month in our Anchor Boy year.

We finished with a very exciting weekend. On Saturday there was a Lego Morning at the Brigade Headquarters in Ibrox. The boys had two wonderful hours surrounded by crates of Lego! They built 3 D structures, created 2D pictures and built a motorised vehicle. At the end of the morning there was a race involving all the motorised vehicles.

On Sunday the Anchor Boys turned out for the Parade Service and proudly paraded around the church between snow showers.

During March our topics have included caring for others when we made a Mother's Day gift and treasure. For the latter one we looked at the stories of the lost coin and the lost sheep and how God cares for us when we "get lost or go astray."

At present we are looking forward to our Annual Parents’ Evening/ Display when we shall demonstrate some of our favourite games and activities. We shall be joined by our friend and story teller Michael Kerins.
