Anchor Boys December 2016 / January 2017
Our Anchor Boy section is continuing to have a busy and lively time. The new recruits have settled in well and we usually have a full or nearly full attendance each week.
We had lots of fun at our annual fancy dress party at the end of October and it was a real puzzle finding out which boy was in which costume.
Since then we have had an evening when the theme was based on our eye-sight. The boys coloured in a picture of Jesus healing a blind man, had games based on seeing and made a colourful bird which balances on a finger to take home.
For the next couple of weeks we have special plans, a visit from the Sports' Development Officers of the Boys' Brigade and an evening of fun in the snow with sledging.
We were delighted with the attendance at the Remembrance Day service and several of the boys took part in the march-past after the service.
December is always a lovely month with this age group and we are looking forward to sharing the Christmas story in our activities and shall finish of the first half of our Anchor Boy year with a Christmas party and visit from Santa.
