About Us

The 130th Glasgow Company, The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation based in Broomhill in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Our three age sections all meet on Friday nights during school term time and membership is open to boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Each section runs a packed but varied programme of activities and events that is not only energetic but challenging and enjoyable.

Anchor Boys November 2016

We now have a lively section with fifteen Anchor Boys. The new boys have settled in well and are enjoying our various activities. We have had two topics so far this month. We have looked at food and rules.

For the food topic we talked about Jesus feeding the Five Thousand and finished the evening by making an edible clown with a happy smiling face. For the rules topic we played some new games for which we had to learn the rules. We then spoke about how God gave us a set of rules, namely the Ten Commandments. We made bookmarks with the commandments on them as a reminder of the evening.

We have an exciting programme planned for next month including a visit from the Sports' Development Officers from the Boys' Brigade and a trip to snowy Braehead for some sledging.
